Good news! You don’t have to be a technical expert to have an excellent cyber security program. In fact, if you know how to assess and manage risk in other areas of your credit union operations, you already have the key skills necessary for ensuring your cyber security program is also up-to-speed, because the same principles that govern other areas of risk management also apply to cyber security.

In this training, rather than spending hours scaring you out of your socks and proving the importance of cyber security (because by now don’t we all know it’s important?) we’ll talk about developing a cyber security program. We’ll get into the nitty gritty of the FFIEC CAT, a full-blown risk assessment, a useful way to think about threats and threat management, and a detailed information security program. You’ll also receive samples of each to help you on your way.

Business casual attire is appropriate. Room temperature may vary, so please bring a sweater or jacket.

Pakela Awards for Educational Excellence Credit Hours:  6 hours

This program is presented by Hawaii Credit Union League and is registered with Hawaii State Board of Public Accountancy.
