Project Zip Code to play a crucial advocacy role this year

Congratulations to a few credit unions who already ran Project Zip Code with their year-end processing as 2020 has only begun. Join your colleagues, all credit unions need to engage in advocacy to better our industry.

Credit unions using CUNA’s PZC know which congressional and state legislative districts and counties their members live in without compromising member privacy. No credit union membership information leaves the database when a credit union participates in Project Zip Code. The only information uploaded to the website is the membership totals per legislative district and county. Over 78 million credit union members have already been identified through PZC. Please help us continue the success of PZC by updating your numbers regularly - ideally quarterly but at a minimum annually. It’s because of participation by credit unions like yours that our grassroots strength will not be surpassed. PZC is an invaluable tool that can have a dramatic impact when lobbying for the interests of credit unions and credit union members.

Once you have downloaded the latest version, your membership totals will be matched to both the current and new federal and state legislative districts. As always, Project Zip Code 19.0 contains several query and reporting tools that can help your credit union’s marketing activities.
