Project Zip Code to play a crucial advocacy role this year

on "January 24, 2019 9:55 am"

With many new faces in Congress, 2019 will be the year of heightened advocacy. One of our advocacy tools is CUNA’s Project Zip Code (PZC).

Congratulations to a few Hawaii credit unions that ran PZC with their year-end processing. Credit unions using PZC know which congressional and state legislative districts and counties their members live in without compromising member privacy. No credit union membership information leaves the database when a credit union participates in PZC. The only information uploaded to the website is the membership totals per legislative district and county. Over 78 million credit union members have already been identified through PZC.  Please help us continue the success of PZC by updating your numbers regularly - ideally quarterly but at a minimum annually.  It’s because of participation by credit unions like yours that our grassroots strength will not be surpassed.  PZC is an invaluable tool that can have a dramatic impact when lobbying for the interests of credit unions and credit union members.Project Zip Code Logo

PZC is available via download at By going to the link, you will be able to download the full user manual in addition to PZC 18.0. Once you have downloaded the latest version, your membership totals will be matched to both the current and new federal and state legislative districts.  As always, PZC 18.0 contains several query and reporting tools that can help your credit union’s marketing activities. To download PZC 18.0, please go to and log-in with your user name and password.
