CUCollaborate & Hawaii Credit Union League Announce Partnership to Help Consumers Find, Join, and Borrow from Hawaii Credit Unions

CUCollaborate announced Hawaii Credit Union League is implementing JoinCU, CUCollaborate’s consumer eligibility validation solution, as a credit union search engine on its website.

JoinCU takes the concept of “Find a Credit Union” beyond zip code lookups and delivers a “Join a Credit Union” solution that solves the membership eligibility problem for consumers. The solution removes the confusion and obstacles associated with credit union eligibility by providing consumers with a list that only contains credit unions they are eligible to join.

“We want to help credit unions attract new members, but we had problems with a mass market strategy because we couldn’t easily tell consumers which credit unions each consumer could join,” says Dennis Tanimoto, Hawaii Credit Union League CEO. “JoinCU solves this problem and provides the necessary infrastructure to more effectively capitalize on marketing to consumers about the benefits of joining a credit union.”

“CUCollaborate’s mission is to help credit unions accelerate growth while reducing expenses and risk. One way we accomplish this is by helping more consumers find, join, and borrow from credit unions,” says CUCollaborate Founder Sam Brownell. “We are excited to implement JoinCU on Hawaii Credit Union League’s website because we believe it will increase the number of new members joining Hawaii credit unions. We hope other organizations trying to boost consumer awareness and drive national growth will follow Hawaii’s lead.”

CUCollaborate offers JoinCU to credit union leagues and associations looking to support and grow credit union membership.

CUCollaborate was launched in 2014 to facilitate credit union growth while reducing expenses and risk. Its current solutions help credit unions research technology partners, analyze the best way to grow fields of membership, and make it easier to attract new members and borrowers. CUCollaborate works with over 1,200 credit unions and has partnerships with seven state leagues and associations.
