Association of Credit Union Internal Auditors (ACUIA) Hawaii Chapter created

Jeneva Coates, Internal Auditor at Gather FCU was given approval to form a Hawaii Chapter of the ACUIA.  Currently there are 10 ACUIA members in Hawaii and they will begin to meet quarterly.  They invite your credit union to have a representative join ACUIA and the quarterly meetings of the Hawaii Chapter.

Conferences and Meetings

  • The Annual Conference is held in late spring each year. This Conference is open to all interested individuals. NASBA CPE credits are available for all attendees.
  • In addition, each of the ACUIA's six regions schedule periodic meetings throughout the year. NASBA CPE credits are also available for attendance at these meetings.
  • Larger metropolitan areas throughout the US hold periodic chapter meetings with guest speakers and/or roundtable discussions.
  • All of these meetings feature current topics of interest to credit union internal auditors, compliance officers, risk managers and audit/supervisory committee members within the credit union.


  • ACUIA webinars are held throughout the year. This is a great opportunity for someone with a limited budget or travel time available. Participation can take place in the comfort of your own office.
  • Webinars feature relevant topics to credit union internal auditors, risk managers, compliance officers and audit/supervisory committee members, within the credit union.
