Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union is distributing Hawaii Restaurant Holiday Cards – 100 cards valued at $200 each, totaling $20,000 – to members whose livelihoods have been affected by the ongoing pandemic.

APFCU’s “Aloha and Kōkua” initiative asked members in need to apply by December 31. Nearly 1,400 members who are experiencing hardship from furloughs, job loss or reduced work hours or pay responded. The 100 recipients were randomly drawn from this pool of applicants.

“We thank all the members who applied for our program and hope these cards provide some relief for the recipients in these very difficult times,” said Vince Otsuka, president & CEO of Aloha Pacific.

The cards can be used at Hawaii restaurants, eateries, bakeries, and food caterers that accept debit Mastercard® through March 31, 2021. Recipients who do not live in Hawaii will be provided an alternative $200 gift card.
