Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union’s Waikele Branch is Temporarily Closed

Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union’s Waikele branch has temporarily closed after a branch employee contracted COVID-19. The branch, at the Waikele Shopping Center, 94-799 Lumiaina Street, Unit 2-A2, is being deep cleaned and sanitized.

The employee last worked at the branch on October 20 and was found to be positive for the virus on October 28. The employee did not have close contact with credit union members. The Waikele branch has a Remote Teller System, in which tellers appear on a video screen to assist with transactions. All branch staff who interact with members and the public are required to undergo daily temperature checks through wellness scanners and wear face masks.

APFCU branches that do not have the Remote Teller System are fortified with acrylic barriers to prevent the potential spread of disease. Employees who do not regularly interact with members also are required to wear face masks when not at their desks. Social distancing is required for all employees. Staff frequently wipe down surfaces, and hand sanitizer stations are provided in high-traffic areas. Masks and temperature checks through wellness scanners also are required for anyone who enters a branch, and the number of members allowed in any branch is kept to a minimum.
