Four Oahu credit unions to disburse another round of Small Business Relief and Recovery Fund grants

Another $75 million is going to the Small Business Relief and Recovery Fund to help local businesses.

small biz reliefBusinesses with annual revenue less than $2 million can apply on Sept. 21. Those that have already received SBRRF grants can reapply for an additional reimbursement grant. Businesses with $2 million to $5 million in annual revenue can apply for the grant on Oct. 1.

Four Oahu credit unions will disperse these funds. Membership in the credit union is not required.

  • Hawaiian Financial Federal Credit Union

Program Updates and Changes – effective September 21, 2020.

  • One-time reimbursable grant increased to $20,000 for applicants with less than $2,000,000 in gross annual revenue
  • Businesses that received grants under this program previously can reapply for up to $20,000, less the amount previously received (i.e., if received only $8,000 previously, can now apply for $12,000)
  • Requirement to meet set number employees now deleted; no need to provide numbers of employees or documents to prove
  • Receipts submitted for Safety Precautions must total $100 minimum per purchase
  • Longline fishermen and crew cannot apply for the commercial fisherman program under this fund
