International Credit Union (ICU) Day is October 15, 2020. This year’s theme is “Inspiring Hope for a Global Community”. The current pandemic has been trying for communities around the world and credit unions have stepped up to help people negatively impacted by economic uncertainty. To assist needy members, credit unions have made emergency personal loans, deferred loan payments, and waived many fees.

In Hawaii, credit unions bring hope for a brighter future by providing financial empowerment through financial services, education, and support. In this pandemic, Hawaii credit unions have played a pivotal role in partnering with government agencies to disburse special grants and loans to help local small businesses survive. Hawaii credit unions also continue to reach out to communities with food drives, school supply drives, and more.

We can showcase the good things about Hawaii credit unions through a special ICU Day section in the October 9 issue of Pacific Business News. Please consider participating by purchasing an ad in this PBN section.
