The event will be open to the general public and participants are limited to two file-sized boxes or, similar sized bags per-person of sensitive personal documents, which will be destroyed on-site. The documents will be removed from boxes for disposal and boxes will be returned to participants; no cardboard accepted. Staples and paper clips do not need to be removed. Hickam Federal Credit Union will require a signed release form before shredding documents. Electronic, or “e-waste” disposal services will not be available.

Hickam Federal Credit Union is sponsoring this event as a community service to promote the safety and security of personal information and to build awareness of the credit union movement.
