Special Projects Officer

POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for strategies, programs, products, policies, and procedures for the business development of the Credit Union. This exempt position reports to the CEO.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  1. Develop business development strategies and programs that coincide with the Credit Union’s overall strategic goals, objectives, policies and plans.
  2. Assist in the marketing of the business development programs.
  3. Draft and maintain business development policies and procedures.
  4. Ensure business development programs, and policies and procedures are in compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of special projects.
  6. Requires working cooperatively and courteously with others, occasionally dealing with difficult people, working under deadlines and being a “team player”.
  7. Performs other various duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: College degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of business development programs including lending programs, digital banking and website. Knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures. Knowledge of Credit Union products and services.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Prior Credit Union or other financial institution experience preferred.

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong project management skills. Well organized.
